The Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonic Strings are the middle-ranking orchestra and string group where students are around Grade 5 and 6 standardl. Matt Thomas directs the full orchestra and Paul Chandler directs the strings. They have explored some popular repertoire, including arrangements of music from stage and screen. There are currently around 70 students in the orchestra and performances in end-of term concerts are always enthusiastically received by everyone.
